OPHID is a local organization that has been at the forefront of developing innovative in-house digital solutions that streamline and enhance business operations. 

Our electronic systems, tailored learning modules, and commitment to going paperless have not only optimized our internal processes but also provided scalable solutions for the broader community. 

Through our Social Innovations & Knowledge Exchange initiatives, we have successfully created a suite of products and services that support various organizational functions, driving efficiency and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Our Impact

We have developed, tested and deployed several bespoke electronic systems, including:

HR System

Comprehensive management of user creation, leave days, timesheets, and workflow.

Volunteer Management System

Efficient handling of user management, volunteer payment, and airtime/data schedules.

Vehicle Fleet Management

Streamlined trip, vehicle, and fuel management with electronic logbook and mobile applications.

Travel and Subsistence System

Effective management of per diem requests, activity plans, and budget codes.

Asset Management System

Systematic asset creation, tracking, and allocation.

Stock Management System

Organized stock creation, recording, and issuance including month-end stock take management.

HR Master Data Record Management

Detailed employee records, including family, medical, employment history and document uploads.

E-learning Platform

Course creation, online course management, and induction management complete with quizzes.

These electronic systems have improved efficiencies and reduced OPHID’s paper usage by over 70%, reinforcing our commitment to sustainable practices.

Our Social Innovations and Knowledge Exchange platforms do not only involve Ilima/Jakwara: Health and Development Knowledge Exchange but also support to other local organizations with our electronic systems and institutional management tools to improve performance for greater impact.

Not only do OPHID’s social and digital innovations strengthen our work and that of others, but are recognised by adoption by health systems stakeholders and local and international awards!

Most recently, OPHID was awarded an International Digital Development (Digi) Award.

 The Digis recognize and celebrate USAID projects and activities that embrace the Agency’s strategic goals of improving development and humanitarian assistance outcomes through the use of digital technology and strengthening open, secure, and inclusive digital ecosystems.
