Dr Karen Webb
Dr Webb is a passionate advocate for locally-led, participatory public health innovation and the use of program and implementation science for the design, evaluation and optimization of evidence-based policies and programs that have big impact. A permanent resident of Zimbabwe, Karen has over 22 years of local, regional, and international experience in public health program design and evaluation. A proud member of the OPHID team since 2011, together with Ministry of Health and Child Care and academic collaborators, Karen has led a large portfolio of programs, local and international conference abstracts, journal publications, knowledge products. These efforts have earned her recognition and awards including an HIV Research Trust scholarship to undertake training in clinical decision making at Harvard University, and best abstract awards at the ICASA (2019) and Zimbabwe NAC (2023) conferences. In addition to her leadership role at OPHID, Karen is committed to supporting the growth and development of other local organizations and is a board member at Zvandiri and Friendship Bench.
